Enhanching Education Through Technology (EETT) Wave 2

Pennsylvania has over 560 school districts, 3500 schools and with1.8 million students

It is a local contral state with multiple SIS systems thoughout the 567 districts.

Currently there is a a legislative initiative:

personal digital assistant program for use in student quiz taking and other educational functions.

Pennsylvania Bill Introduced to Create Statewide School Computer Network
Pennsylvania Rep. Mike Veon introduced House Bill 2386 to meet Gov. Rendell's challenge that legislators fund the creation of a statewide education network for K-12 schools during the next 18 months.

No Pennsylvania Education Data Warehouse presently, but if education network is implemented, plans to build one. State is behind many other states in its integration of disparate education systems.
