Bid Information
Description Information:
The Georgia Department of Education
(GDOE) seeks the services of a qualified vendor to design, develop,
implement, maintain and provide future enhancements for a Statewide
Student Information System (SIS) through a competitive Request for
Proposal (RFP) bidding process. As delineated in Section 3 of this
RFP, the Statewide SIS will consist of two primary components in the
initial phase: a Decision Support System (DSS) and a unique testing
identifier system. The DSS will be comprised of analytical and
reporting tools and a data warehouse. The unique testing identifier
system will securely assign, track and maintain a unique numeric
testing identifier for the following student populations: 1) all
students enrolled in prekindergarten programs, administered through
the Office of School Readiness (OSR) (see Glossary of Terms) or
otherwise; 2) and in kindergarten through 12th grade in public
education (K12) throughout the state. The unique testing identifier
system will also have to accommodate an interface with Georgia
higher education facilities to allow for the tracking of student
centric data over time for trend and research purposes. This RFP
contemplates future phases of work. Future phases could include
system enhancements and changes to accommodate legislative revisions
upon successful completion of the initial phase given adequate
funding sources and successful performance (both in time and
performance metrics) by the successful Offeror. The successful
Offeror will act as the prime vendor who will bear the sole
responsibility of providing all deliverables of the Statewide SIS to
the GDOE regardless of whether or not subcontractors are engaged.
