BIDDING
Following are the
general rules and regulations that govern procurement in the
school district:
$100,000 and above: The
supplier must enter into a First Source Agreement. This
agreement requires that the vendor utilize the Department of
Employment Services as the first source for recruitment,
referral and placement of new employees for jobs created under
the proposed contract. For further details, contact

$25,000 to $100,000: Contracts
that fall within this price range must use the Affirmative
Action Plan through the Local, Small and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprise Certification program. For information,
contact 202.727.3900.
$25,000 and below:
Purchases that fall within this price range are considered
informal bids and can be done through verbal or written
quotations.
VENDOR REGISTRATION
Formals bids
are sent directly to registerered suppliers. Suppliers note
areas of interest and bids that fall within that category are
sent. Suppliers can request a Vendor Registration Application
by calling Procurement Administration at
202.727.0252.
